My father Carl F. Poeppel Jr was in Unit 369 graduated July 14, 1943. I have a photo of this unit. I went to Farragut museum and didn't find any information for Unit 369 or any information about my father. My name is JoAnne (Poeppel) Lampe

I found a picture of unit 369, that was stationed at Farragut airbase. His name was Carl Frederick Poeppel, my dad.

Thanks for the info! Sandra seems to be very accomplished and I'm sure your husband is very proud of her. I really enjoyed chatting with you and I'm looking forward to checking out your work, also.
Thanks again! Cheryl Price |

Hi there, You and I chatted while waiting in line in Yoke's recently. You refused my offer to go ahead of me with your loaf of bread. Was pretty exciting to meet a real author (except for our Debbie McComber and Richard LeMieux - Breakfast at Sally's) so I endeavored to track down a book or two of yours. Checked a book store in Chelan WA and Leavenworth Wa. They had a couple of yours in the past, but not at this time. I'll keep searching.

I love reading your blog to keep up on the Sandpoint happenings. And now I'm getting a kick out of reading your North Idaho farm girl adventures in "Pocket Girdles", can't wait to read the next one!

I'll be sure to look you up when I get around to visiting Sand Point.

Hi Marianne -
Ran across your blog and website today - great stuff! The new Ross Hall site is up and running. [www.rosshallcollection.com]. Just wanted to let you know that we've added a link to your Ross Hall article in the About section. It was a wonderful article! |

Good reading on the guestbook. I was wondering if your books are sold in the book stores here in Seattle? |

Loved "Pocket Girdles". Love the encouragement to others to write. Love the common ground of "hometown." Thanks for it all!

Hi Marianne,
Please send me an e-mail when you get this message. I failed to update my contacts with your most recent address and when I sent you an e-mail message re: the Aspell family reunion and Bud's 90th it bounced back. I've got details to share. By the way, computer-savy cousin, are you on facebook? love, Joan |

Marianne, Just reading your 'Postcards' book and love it. You probably don't remember me, but we did some horse riding and laughing together years ago when we were farm girls. Enjoyed your personality then and am enjoying it now. Congrats!!

Dana Williams and I are in charge of scheduling speakers for Rotary. Would you be willing to speak to our club. Also we would like to do a series of Sandpoint High School graduates. Any ideas? Last week we had Nikki Parenteau. She was amazing.
