I recently found some very old letters of my grandfathers dating back to 1943. He was stationed at the U.S. Naval Training Station in Farragut, Idaho. He was in Company 769. I read your article about the training station and wondered how I could find pictures of Company 769. If you have any info, please pass along. Thank you!

You could tell I felt less than thrilled to be assigned copy editor. It was not at all a glamorous job writing about chess club etc...after all who reads it? It's the photographs that matter. I remember you telling me, "Sure no one reads the text at first, but later one when they pull out the old yearbook, your words will be read and tell the rest of the story."

I just read your article on Farragutt Naval Training Station and really enjoyed it. My Dad was a Naval training officer there and I was born at the base hospital in 1943. Do you have any information on how many kids were born there during the short time the base was opened?
