Hi Marianne,

I'm thinking of you this evening and I figured you must be easy to find. I need to reconnect even if to just say hello across the miles and years from that fatefull day when you caught me chatting at the school room door after the bell. What followed with the yearbook and my photos (1973) and your inspiration bore fruit for a 30 year career as a TV News Videographer, a visit to The White House and many tales yet to be written. Now I'm semi-retired and more busy than ever with blogs, developing websites, eBay, social media streams etc. Drop me an email if you like. Send me your number if you would like a call, would "love" it :)

Huggs across the country, Don.

Hi Marianne. Like your site. I just recieved an email on my flickr photo site that is below. I am not sure where George Massing is now or his address and thought of you. Maybe you can help??

George Massing, Delar Messmore
Terry, your name sounds familiar, but I cannot place your face. I was behind you and George in high school, found an old post of his here:

shs1965.blogspot.com/2005/08/still-smiling-george-massing.html

but his email seems to be out of date. I'd like to say "hi" to him if you have contact info.

I guess you can reply here, or my other email is 440roadrunner@roadrunner.com I live in Coeur d Alene
208 660-6500

FInding George's post also triggered my memory of Mark LaMoreaux, and I have emailed him through his photography web page.

Thanks, Del Messmore

Del's name sounds familiar?

Hope you had a wonderful holiday and Happy Newyear. My email address is clgtlg@moscow.com

Hello,
My name is Kat' and I am truly not sure how to address you with what I have on my mind and heart. But I will give this a shot.
I have a story to tell, and I have been continuously told by many people with-in the legal system, the community, and friends I need to do a book. Well, I am no writer by any means, nor do I even no the first thing about taken on such a project or how to even start.
My main concern is finding someone to hear my story' as I would like it to be written for those in need of HOPE!! I am living, walking proof' HOPE does carry us through lifes obstacles.
I would very much enjoy hearing any advice or interest you may have in helping aiding me. Or possably explaining how to approch writing a book, or more importantly someone writing my story for me. And how that would work.
The amount of demands I am recieving and letters from people urgeing my story to be published is bigger then I can comprehend~
If this is something you can find the time to address I would be very greatful to hear from you~

Sincerely, Kat Brock

Gonna be making the Best Damn Pumpkin Dessert but would love to share with you my time with insects and my stories of sharing all things six-legged with first, second and third grade kids of the Bay Area. Won't leave a dry eye in the house.

Mairanne, was so nice to meet you and your sisters among the stately birch trees at the end of RLR last Saturday afternoon. I enjoyed our visit and exchanging photo stories and mutual acquaintances, i.e. your cousin, Doug.

Hopefully we will cross paths again and exchange images...

Hi Marianne! I found an old-time photo of a man named Harold Tibbs in the Blast from the Past section of the Lewiston Tribune. We're wondering if this is your step father. I'd be glad to copy and paste the photo if you'd send me your email address.

Recently met a nearly 87-yr-old veteran who trained at Camp Farragut. Found your story here when I looked up Camp Farragut. The vet I met is still spry. He's an Ojibwa man who lives on the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation in northern Wisconsin. Was wearing a Navy baseball cap when I spoke w. him. Interviewed him for an article I'm writing.

Marianne, Thanks for your article on Farragut Naval Station. I referred (and linked) to it in an article on my grandparents: [www.associatedcontent.com]

Thanks for donating autographed copies of your books to the Alan McNall fundraiser. I was thrilled to be the winning bidder and have been reading all day. Although I didn't have the pleasure of being one of your students while at SHS (class of '85), your memoirs are so much fun to read. Thanks again, Liz

Deat Marianne,
Enjoyed your article very much. I was one of the 15 year olds that went to Farragut in 1944 and had not heard much of Farragut since.
Thanks a bunch

Hi Marianne,

Just wanted to stop by and let you know of a great screenwriting contest the organization I serve on the board is having. It's with kNIFVES (Northwest Independent Film, Video & Entertaiment Society). We meet twice a year in Sandpoint and the rest of the time in CDA and Spokane. The contest is open to anyone and we have some great prizes.

Details can be found at: [www.knifves.org] or email me at:
lineproducer@knifves.org

If you could pass this on to your writer friends, I would appreciate it. I'm trying to get the word out to as many folks as I can.

Happy New Year!
Karla

Hi Marianne I just thought I would give you an update. As you know I was trying to get to the states before now but due to a nursing injury I sustained made me rethink my priorities. So instead of travelling I undertook a Degree in Nursing which I have now finished and as my reward to self will be visiting Calgary in July 2011. I was wondering if there was a possibility that we might be able to meet. My friend Joyce who was also in the mounted division is going to travel with me. We are still riding and show competatively even though we are ageing and show up against riders 1/2 our age.Awaiting your response, regards Polly

Scott,

So nice to hear from you. I'm out of town right now and can't access your email, but when I get home, I'd like to send you a note to learn about your association with Farragut.

In the meantime, if you have time to send me a note at potatohead89@hotmail.com, I'd love to hear more from you. This story and my own association with Farragut continues to unfold. Marianne
